RainGazer wrote: Hi all! There's no way I can possibly comment on every picture, but you know I love all the Streps and Sinningias! That's about all the Gessies I'm going to try to grow anymore, besides Petrocosmeas. They're all just so beautiful! Wish I had room for one of each! LOL Jan, you look beautiful in that picture! Love the garlic! Bet it smells yummy, too! I need to get my DH to build a bench thingy like you've got there. That's really great! All you ladies and your cowboys... Firemen are much better! ;o) Here are two of my little Streps from Violet Barn that insist on blooming, no matter how bad the plants themselves look. I've disbudded these twice, and they still keep trying. They don't have the best flower form in the world, but the plants are pitiful, so give them a bit of leeway. I do think they're going to survive, though. They're putting out new leaves. Whew! I was worried I would lose them all. They're on the bottom shelf where it's coolest, so they attract dog hair like magnets. You'll just have to ignore that. ;o) Here's Strep 'Bristol's Mello Jello' There are two yellow stripes in the throat, but I don't know if you'll be able to see them. Other than that, it's not any more impressive than any of the other million or so purple Streps. |
