First let me say there is a pond under all those plant. They have flourished with the fertilizer supplied when the pond is cleaned out in the spring. The plant around th pond isperenial geranium..big root I think there is a taller one with flower that are almost black called mourning widow,I wouldn't recommend her as she likes ro spreriad her gloom all over the garden. There id Hosta 2 kinds,Ligularia dentaalso another black root or something, turtlehead, verbena.Fallopia japonica,a port merion .The bee balmand few lilies which arn't up yet The geranium is is invasive but very easy to control.Iy makes a great groundcver.I usually thin it out after it blooms and plant the thinnings around the yard where I don/t mow and want to keep the weeds down. There is a blue variety which blooms all summer but doesn't spread. I had the pond built 9 years ago a present for my 70th bithday.I keep a heater in the pond to keep my fish alive. This year they were just a good meal fir the racoon. My waterlilies overwinter in the pond too JOY
