Pokeweed is edible if picked when young, it's a Southern thing. I would have tried it, lol. "Eat a weed?" Most of our food started out as a weed.
Chuck, I spray my fruit trees in spring for many pests but only the trees and only in spring (and once in summer) BT works fine. All the other gardens are chemical free. (But that's another story.) I don't suppose you get many bug shots.
