I planted my new shad and a mugo pine yesterday in a new bed that we dug yesterday. I am about to dig up some sweet-fern, Comptonia peregrina to add to this new bed plus some stuff from the farm/nursery that is having a sale today. 20% off everything.

I also dug up part of the grass where the old boat has been sitting since 1990 to enlarge the driveway. I still have more to do, but the body needs to take a break today from more heavy digging. I got a deer tick attached to my arm, so I took 200mg doxycycline, so all should be well. Out to battle nut sedge in another new bed that I dug this spring. I also was in the PI yesterday, so I scrubbed down with Victor's recommended 'Tecnu', which has been great for me this spring/summer.

Here is primula, 'Green Lace' which I dearly love and it is about to need dividing. Thrilled. Patti
