Hey Katie! That definitely is Forest Pansy!! Good call!! Ummm, I don't think that it is really any noticeable amount smaller than any of the other Cercis Canadensis varieties. It is a little smaller than cercis texensis, and the straight species of cercis occidentalis. But, I prune mine once every year to keep them reasonable. I cut them back to about 7-8' every spring and they'll be 10'+ by fall. This is a view of that tree from the back side, about 9' tall now (not including that stray branch on top that's going to be cut off).
