Home Depot (mine anyway) has roses 50% off and what is left of the bulbs. I bought two hybrid teas: 'double delight' and 'reine des violettes' and a couple packs of daylilies 'grape magic' which are supposed to be a grapey purple.

A few days ago, I also bought SALE phlox from Walmart for $1.50 a container, in 'crimson something', 'fort hill' 'emerald something' and 'something daphne' and split them up where I could and edged two beds with them.

I also bought (finally) some rooting hormone and plan on going to town with a bunch of stuff. Any requests??? ;)

Here is the phlox edging. Doesn't look like much now since I have some small, new plants (this is the top of my herb bed, where I've recently cleared out a ton of lily of the valley and horrible wild onions by hand, sifting it all out 4"+ deep with my fingers and shovel) but once this all fills in and I mulch, I think will be just beautiful. I stuck one of the new roses in this area today, too!
