I put a huge amount of seeds out in my front bed and I couldn't figure out why none were coming up. This morning, I was up very early, just as the sun was making light. I heard something tap the glass and looked out just in time to see a tiny house funch eating my seeds. At least I know what happened to all of them. LOL I keep some dead grass and such to hold the seeds in and he was finding his way through it all.
