I had good success with straight perlite last year with the leaves turned lengthwise so I decided to try it again with strep leaves done AV style. It's still trial and error every time for me. I have not found my definitive way yet ..... I'm already wishing I would have put some vermeculite into this batch though to help hold some more moisture ..... oh well, there's always next time!
