African Violets and Gesneriads: Getting plants and home ready for surgery, 1 by Sallysblooms

Well, I am working hard each day. I love the house to be nice and clean so I am doing a lot around the house to make sure all will look nice after my surgery. My hubby will also be cooking and cleaning, but he will be busy with lots of things (ME) so I am getting things ready.

We also planted all of the summer flowers etc. since I will not be out there working for quite some time, especially in the HEAT! It all looks great, nice it is done.

I watered and vacuumed the violet shelves today. Tomorrow, I will change the water of the sunroom plants, Epecia's.

Here is a picture of the little Fuller vacuum I use. SO handy for the shelves when they get a little dirt on them. Easier that using my Dyson on the shelves. You can really hurt a plant with that machine I bet! POWER!

Tomorrow, hubby and I see the doctor for pre-op information in her office, then register at the hospital. Surgery is this Wed. I am trying to stay busy and not overdo it at the same time! It is a high risk hysterectomy so it will be the usual 6 weeks before I can really return to doing reg. things.
