Hibiscus granules Nutri Star 10-4-12. At the start of the growing season, poke holes around the roots, about 6 inches away from the trunk, fill holes with the granules. I usually continue this monthly to about July.
I also trim almost every branch with leaves off from the previous year. Since it only blooms on new growth, all of it's energy is directed into growth and blooms instead of maintaining old branches.
