It's getting altogether too close to when we leave on vacation. I have an Ottawa Symphony concert on Tuesday evening with three rehearsals on Sunday and Monday, I've been winding up working at the Food Cupboard (I'm officially retired again though I owe them a few hours), and I've been trying to get about 150 copies of the Canadian Viola Society Newsletter in the mail. (Violist - yours was mailed yesterday). It's really late this time since I didn't have any content for it at the deadline and I didn't have time to chase after any content. All 106 of my Hostas have come back and are accounted for, but one is not looking healthy. I acquired 13 new ones this week and I have another 11 coming after I return from my vacation as well as a couple in a trade with Sandy (Sanannie). I need to get them into the ground somewhere before we leave, even if only temporary. Actually, some may be left in pots until I return if they are large enough. Here are some early season stunners - 'Outhouse Delight' - emerges white and gradually turns green. |
