This past week we have collected a full dozen eggs from our pullets. We haven't used any of the eggs yet, so DD decided to make French toast yesterday. Being Mother's Day I slept in while the family made breakfast. During breakfast the conversation turned to the eggs:

Me: "How were the eggs?"
DD: "The eggs were find. They have a very thick 'white'; is that good?"
Me: "I don't know, but I'll check into it. Were the shells okay?"
DD: "They broke really easily."
Me: (with concern!)"Did they seem too fragile?"
DD: "No - definitely not too fragile."
Me: "What about the yolks?"
DD: "They seemed alright."
Me: "How was the color?"
DD: "Not dark yellow or orange, but definitely darker than store bought eggs."

Not a single person at the table seemed to think this conversation was strange!
