So, LeawoodG., do you plant them in small bulb trays and put them in the fridge and then take them out and put them into the big pots to finish growing?

I tried to do bulbs in pots last year, leaving them outside, and they all seemed to rot or freeze. Didn't get any beauties like yours.

This year I bought some tulips already 'started' in bulb trays at Lowe's and transplanted them into containers to finish growing. That worked pretty well, but I don't get to pick out unusual bulbs--mostly 'yellow', 'red', 'purple'.
