In this pic, you can see the other distinguishing thing - the yellow along the lower edge under the wing. Sort of an "armpit" area, so I guess a "wingpit" on a bird! There was another one, no yellow spot on head, but some yellow on the side also. I can't find any other bird in my books with a yellow spot on the head like that, so I'm assuming that's what it was, but hope someone else will know, despite the terrible picture.
