It's taken me 8 months to realize how to do certain things, like adjust the white balance and set it for different lighting conditions, and focus on a certain part of the subject. Also it has a "steady shot" button that looks like someone's hand shaking, which is kind of funny. Not wasting film is such an advantage with these new cameras, too. I still have a hard time getting good pictures of birds, though. And kids. They move around too much.
