Right now the state is replacing an old bridge near by and tearing down the old one. We get the red bellies here quite a bit and the smaller flickers(?), too.
This isn't a very good shot but these guys come by to but are more likely to stay in the hedgerow than come down to the feeder. From the looks of my old split rail fence I think they are getting everything they need from it. It's riddled with holes and they wake up anyone that maybe sleeping with the window open in the downstairs front bedroom.
