silkiechick wrote: like i said i've never seen a red baby before but to me they look partridge but i'm not sure u got me stumped,lol. love to see pics as they grow can tell u when they are feathered in some. mabe the red is some how derived from partridge wich would account for the markings but i'm not 100% sure on that theory. my reason for that is my exhibition whites throw cream colored babies w/ cinnamon stripe with thin white stripe on each side. they r white recessive and there is no partridge in them but yet they still have a light chipmonk effect. not all hatch w/ that alot r cream color but when adult those babies w/ those markings r my purest whites. i have hatched whites from others and they r always yellow but i can't explain it other than i know mine carry white reccesive genes. my point is mabe the markings r not a partridge only thing, usually that's all we see with that type of marking. mabe it has a relevance to something else since other colors aparently carry it, is that possible? |
