If I can grab the camera (new at that, I forget I have it) I will try to picture the two types of red-headed woodpeckers we have had in One tree for the past 10 years. Last year it was the Huge one.(Very striking colors black/white/red and as long as your arm and the babies sound like a chain saw when being fed!The adults sound like something out of the Jungle!) One year the smaller one set up shop in the same tree about 3 ft below the larger ones nesting hole. It was one continuous round of fights and feeding. Now that I have the camera, of course, the larger one didn't nest here this year.
