Nancy we are the same with the episcias!! The ones I have left are long and straggly looking . I've got some nice blooms on a couple right now but the plants themselves are sad looking. I won't be getting more! They deserve better! :))

I am with Dimmer in that so few of my pictures ever show what the plants or blooms really look like! That being said I am going to start saving right this minute for that Nikon D40!! Gail those pictures are absolutely gorgeous in their true color and clarity! I thought I'd have to get all fancy with lenses and learning photography to ever get such great pictures but to think there is a camera out there that can do that on auto?? I've wanted a camera that would do the macro shots forever too! I'm drooling!

Hey Kim! My windows get some direct sunshine, one in the early morning, and the other in the late afternoon. In the summer I do have to put a sheer curtain up between my AV's and the late afternoon sun. But most of the time they are just bright windows. I'm sure my AV's don't bloom as often as if they were on light stands but I'm happy enough with them!

Lin and Jannich if I had Gail's camera I could show you how truly beautiful Blue Lace really is! And the others too! LOL

Laura I'm big on what I call "heirloom" plants. Glad you are too! :))

I can't leave off without a picture. No close ups but I do grow my semi mini AV's under a grow light here in my office and they have been blooming abundantly lately! It's nice to walk in here each morning and see them.
