But, I don't think it had to do with machines at the P.O., as the beads of dynamite plant food were not smashed ... the white #10 outer envelope was all wrinkled and had the wrong address but no tears in that envelope at all. The packet of plant food inside was torn open at the top and there was also a little hole in the side of it so the entire contents was loose inside the white envelope. I don't know how a postal machine could have torn the package inside the envelope without the envelope being torn also.

I threw the envelope away but here's a picture of what the little packet of dynamite looks like ... maybe moisture got to it and that's what caused the openings. I still plan on using it ... my plants love to eat! And, hey it was free, so I will still use it.
