It was a lovely day, though warm only in the middle of it. I have been out in the yard a little bit only, because my dog had surgery on Monday and has to be monitored to make sure he doesn't scratch. I could put a cone head collar on him, but he hates it, and I don't want to do that to him until next week when I'll be at work all day. So I've had short forays out to weed a patch at a time while he was napping, and one handed when he is out with me for a bit, as I hold onto the dog's leash with the other hand.

I did get a picture of this little perennial whose name I can't remember. It's an easy, low spreader with fleshy little leaves. if anybody knows its name, please inform me of it. just beginning to open up a few flowers:
