I'll have to give that planting theme some thought. I've never really planned any planters, just filled hanging baskets with petunias and maybe bought some of that trailing vine stuff to throw in. actually last year I had two of the chimney flues in my herb garden planted with purchased annuals and it looked nice. here it is the day I planted it...ivy-leaved geranium, alyssum, you get the idea, and some of the trailing stuff in the back. It filled in really nice.
