I have a soft spot for JP's. As I mentioned above I heard about Shirazz on a sunday morning radio show driving to play volleyball. It got rave reviews from the only grower who is distributing to nurseries. The radio show is one by Paul Parent who lives up in Maine. People form Maine you can trust and Paul in particular.

Got home hit the web, saw it in the JP forum, had to have it. Some of the people (maybe one) on the jp forum seem to be pretty negative about certain varieties so I did wait for one of our members (a landscaper) who bought 4 or 5 last year and see how they made it through the winter. All came through with flying colors although had not leafed out yet. I jumped on it now because if it was as advertised it would have been sold out. The nursey I went to is in an affluent area the price $250 was less than some crimson queens.

A little long winded---I excited to have it! Yesterday I went to opening day and ring ceramony for the Sox. So far April is going good.
