Basically, it's sowing seeds in containers (like large plastic milk jugs) in the winter months. The containers have holes in the bottom for drainage, and slits in the top of air transpiration and to allow in moisture. Set the containers outside and leave 'em 'till spring. Presto, you will have seedlings! Here's a picture of a prepared milk jug. Becareful - winter sowing is extremely addictive.... :) Joanne |
