I have a few raised beds made from wood and one has a side made of two telephone poles. {before you freak, they were there when I got here 25 years ago, I never grew vegetables or herbs next to the poles, and one has a plank nailed to it to make a flat surface where I put pots and window boxes and the border along these is about to become hosta and shade plants because the neighbor's trees shaded out this area many years ago} and I have a stone wall that has the stones mortared in along one side of the driveway.
