Betty I live out about 5 miles from the town of Rosamond and it is a little Bedroom community with one chain grocery store and several gas stations and about 5 chain resteraunts for fast food including Subway and Dominos. We live about 15 minutes from the bigger city though, but it is no Los Angeles there either.

These pix are probably the same place you have ever seen California Poppy pictures taken and I took them today just for you guys, it was about 15 minutes away.
