As some of you might know I became interested in my roots a couple of years ago. I'm sure some remembers the log cabin that I posted about and the Iris that POPPY SUE identified that came from that home place. Well I received a box of family artifacts from a cousin and this post card was one that a cousin sent to my Grandfather sometime before 1920 because he died that year. I thought about go_vols because it is postmarked from her home town. It doesn't have the year posted for some reason. I guess it was before they started putting that on the cards. The cousin asks my grandmother to sent her some plants and cuttings. I also received some poetry that an aunt wrote along with several more postcards dating back to the 1920 and some articles that go back to 1800. Just wanted to share with all my gardening friends.
It proves two things that I have posted about here on Dave's.

1. My ancestors were plant lovers.
2. Being a pack rat is a family trait. lol
