I ended up not ordering from the coop, as I have some which were tiny last year and have been very very slow to grow. I think I will hold off until I find some big kids that are affordable. If ever. Or just wait to divide mine. I want some green upright growing ones like I saw at the flower show in Boston. Mr. C. Loved seeing the cowslips in Eng. Now that is zone envy. I adore them. I have a big stand in VT currently under 4' of snow and more last night. DH went to school south of you in Blandford. GE1836, Love the picture of your old great container garden. Canna in pots, I need to do that as I hope I have a bunch correctly stored in the basement to pot up soon. I am afraid to look. I started my Dahlias in baggies that I stored yesterday. I see a few eyes, but think I got that all wrong too. Hopeful, but realistically, I assume I won't have many returning. I will have better luck with the calla and glad bulbs. Yes, David back to bulbs. Love that Glory of snow. None yet for me. Some other things starting to look good. That euphorbia that rcn48 posted about in Nov. Euphorbia 'Helena's Blush' is great. I planted it in Dec along with another that I found in Newfane Vt. The other one I am excited about starting is the winter aconite. Patti |
