I think the aeschytanthus, columneas and codanthes seem to do best with a cool (50 degree weather long enough to make them bloom)..........then they start to droop by the end of May......At least that is what is working for me.

i think you will be very happy next year to use the poly around your pool area. No more of that changing climates and temps all the time going inside and outside or blankets ,etc.....
It is amazing that the hoyas and other plants which only got a little bit of southern direct sun all winter have bloomed this much. (once again cooler weather seems to induce the blooming) I never ever brought an orchid in and the phals are blooming away.

I will take my camera out maybe tomorrow and show you new hoya blooms.
can't leave this thread without some kind of picture..........let me look
