They did not put the spoon in theirs..I do because it gives the birds a place to perch..for reg. size cup I use teaspoon, for larger cup I use table spoon, for the cups you saw I may have to upgrade to something larger...

Your feathered friends could use a rest,
A dainty teacup would be the best!
A cup of water, a plate of seed,
A tiny perch is all they need!
A pretty spot surrounded with flowers
And you'll be entertained for hours.
