Bird Watching: question about weird hummer behavior, 1 by Elphaba

My hummingbird usually doesn't let any other hummers in the yard. Just last week, I saw her viciously chase off another hummer on several different days. Today, she's hanging out with another hummer. I took a bad photo of them. It's some form of Murphey's law that whenever you go outside without your camera, the sun comes out and a hummer will land in a picture perfect spot 6 feet away from you. This pic was taken after I went in for the camera and the sun went behind a cloud, and they were in a mess of twigs way at the top of the crepe myrtle. Do you think they're mating? Even though it's a bad picture, they both look like females to me.
