I love him because even though he is bigger than many of the birds that visit my yard he is so very gentle yet not timid. He will sit on a branch right next to me. He flys over to see what I am up to in the yard. I have never seen him fight over the food. I'm going to post two pictures of him. This one from day-before-yesterday with a finch. Pete was at the pear first. The finch came over & gave him the eye. Pete didn't fight or leave. They just ate together.
