You have snow Marie? Lots of my brugs live outside. They do fine down to about 33 for a couple of hours at night but any lower the leaves go first, then the trunk then the roots at about 24 degrees. But the temp does go up to the 40s and 50s during the day. This year I didn't even get 1 frost but I did lose 1 to rot. We have so much rain in the winter.

If anyone has to trouble germinating them in soil, try rockwool. It is the only thing I use now for brugs and clivia seeds. I never soak my seeds even if they are old but do peel them and then then pop them in the wet rockwool and then into a clear plastic bag. Then under lights on my seedling table. It is clean, fast and so easy!
