Well, it started out as a platform feeder for Butterflies.

I put old fruit out there, and I've had butterflies like: Buckeye, Red Admiral, Red-spotted Purple Admiral, Question Mark, Hackberry Emperor.

In the picture, is the large crown of a Sunflower head. So yes, I was feeding the Cardinals.

Currently, I put out old Bananas for my Mockingbird.

I do have a couple of squirrels, but I've never seen them on the dish.
They have clipped some Sunflowers off the plants and carried them off, but hey, I'm all for squirrels too. :^)
