The birds probably know the rats go out there under the feeder at night to eat dropped seeds. No wonder I haven't seen any rats lately! Since cutting down the Passiflora, the rats and other creatures have no place to hide now from predators. My dh felt bad that the poor rats were easy pickins'! We had kinda gotten attached to the poor rodents. LOL!
