gabagoo wrote: Thanks everyone! Victor - It takes me just a little over an hour to water everything. I used to have one hose but it got to be a pain dragging it around the pots. You can't tell in the pic, but there's a path that circles the area where the vine pole is located. If you look at this shot, taken 2 months earlier (June 2), you can see the arrangement of the pots & the paths. At that point, there are 167 pots! Now I have 2 hoses... actually 3. One hung by the back doot (not in the pic, but it's the lower left) Another hose runs up the right side, in front of the pots along the fence. You can see some of it behind the bench in the back. I have a coiled hose attached to it next to the bench. It makes watering a lot easier - and faster. PrimroseSue - I took the shot from my bedroom window (2nd flr). I take a picture every Saturday morning so I can see how it changes. You can see the 2007 series here- http://www.flickr.com/photos/nlf/sets/72157600179272124/ It's cool if you view as a slideshow. I have a little "Scuba Cat" sculpture that I place in a different place for each pic. It's my own version of "Where's Waldo". Harper - I don't really need help, but you're more than welcome to come by some time to check it out. I'll be starting it later this year because I'll be away the last week of May when I usually plant. In Sept 2006 I "inherited" about 20 pots (all perennials) when a friend moved from NYC to CA. I ended up dividing a bunch of them when I was setting things out in 2007. The 20 pots became 30. Nancy |
