I'm thinking that there is a good chance that your yellow flowered bush is probably a Forsythia it's pretty common in our area. Even though it is common I really love seeing the bright yellow flowers in the spring and if you go out and cut a few branches and put them in water they will bloom for you. Really gives a lift to the winter doldrums. Holly
