billyporter wrote: Oh Patti!! I had poison ivy last year on one arm. I think the wild grapes I cut out of a tree was ivy. I had to wrap my whole arm, wrist to muscle, in guaze and tape it, it ran so bad. I had it for two weeks before it slowly dried up. I coated it with zinc oxide and later bought Calagel clear. Both helped with the itch. I wouldn't have gotten it if I hadn't planted 6 volunteer hibiscus across the road instead of tearing them out. They better be pretty!!! I've always debated about planting serviceberry. I always read good reviews on it, but don't have room. What a lovely area!!! I like the shape of the tree. Drzzsheehan, that is a good idea! Over to the left and across the road is where I planted the hibiscus. Innocent looking isn't it. It was a good year for my iris too. |
