The blue poppy was in the Gardens around the Norman Lowell Gallery in outside of Homer. AK. It is in a section called Anchor Point.
He is a very famous painter. You could Google him and see. His Gallery is amazing! It sits in the woods--in the middle of nowhere. He and his wife live there and their original homestead cabin is also there--surrounded by these amazing Gardens that visitors can tour. That is where the Blue Poppies grow....

Lowell's favorite subject seems to be HUGE paintings with the Aurora Borealis on them. Every single painting in there is amazing! He is truly a gifted artist. Many of his paintings are for sale.

There are amazing HB's of mixed flowers all around the Gallery. I think many flowers just love the cool Summers there. If any of you are ever thinking about visiting Alaska, you MUST go to this area around Homer. It is the most beautiful area. Good weather in the Summer as it is right on the sea. I have been there 3 times in June/July and it can get downright hot! My sister lives there--so I have visited. She has a beautiful house on a hillside and is an excellent hostess and tour guide.
