Jane~ Funny story about your DH and the Killdeer... We get them here too. They are very entertaining birds in action too. If you come upon a nest in Spring the parent watching the nest will gimp away from the nest acting injured in order to lure danger away from their nest. Such fakers, so funny to watch!
