On March 19, 2007, I stopped at the gas station near the house to fill the trucks tank. I was surprised to see a small flock of Waxwings in the Balsam Poplar trees (Black Cottonwood) along the edge of the stations lot. I drove home, pick up the camera, and return not expecting them to still be in the trees. Obviously, the Waxwings were still there with excellent lighting and a blue sky. Apparently they were feeding on the balsam sap witch had formed droplets on the underside of the branches. I captured a number of pictures with the birds looking like contortionist.
