Actually, there is a lot happening in Iowa, gardenwise. Many great gardens to tour. Lots of history. I'd be more than happy to open our gardens to a Dave's party. South Amana is one of seven villages comprising a former German-speaking commune. Our gardens contain species brought to this country from Germany in the mid-1800s as well as much newer, cutting-edge perennials. We are listed on the National Register of Histortic Places and with the Smithsonian Institution as a National Heritage Garden.
