After the flowering had finished and the leaves died down some months after that I had stored the pot in my attic, keeping it on the dry side. But now there are appearing some tiny grass-like leaves. I decided to check the bulbs in the pot and discovered three well-sized bulbs with a diameter of about 5 cm. They look very healthy and are starting getting new roots. The little grass-like leaves were coming out from the side of one of them. I've done a little research to find out how to care for them and found out that usually they are planted to start growing in autumn. I had forgotten all about mine until I discovered the new growth. I wonder now if I have started too late (we're almost January) to water them again like I've done now. I refreshed the soil and have put the pot in a warmer place in an east-facing window. |
