Had to leave hungry tho, I think the deer/turkey fencing we have around the newly planted trees/feeding area gives the little guys some protection. The hawk had to avoid the fence at the last second, allowing his meal to escape. Then he perched on the feeder for 3 or 4 minutes looking for anything left. After he gave up and left there was at least two juncos that came out from under the brush pile and made their escape. Not a good picture of hawk but have to take our pictues through our living room window. Can anyone ID hawk? From our guide it looks like a sharp-shinned. Thanks
