Here are some updates.

Sandy and Ann brought over 100 hosta divisions for the Bronson Centre, which went into beds dug by community volunteers to incorporate beautiful compost from the city (free!).

I dug up the cannas and will overwinter them in my dry, cool basement. I'll have 40 at the least, great for a garage sale!

I'm hoping my 250' stretch of pink cleome will reseed, but I have my doubts. The impact was greatly appreciated, and reported in the community newspaper. It was a very dry summer, so the display was half what it might have been, but impressive nevertheless.

I sure learned a lot about Brugmansias. I grew a bunch from seed last year, repotted them this year, and enjoyed incredible blooms. The blooms were the width of my outstretched hand and incredibly fragrant. These are TREES. In the fall, I hacked off branches as cuttings, which are rooting like crazy, and the mothers are pushing roots out of their pots. More on this as time progresses.

I'm hoping to put off spring fever until mid-January.
