I have to say also, that is painted using Milk Paint. The real deal Milk Paint, so it does come out streaky looking. It's the normal way for it to look and IMHO, it goes in this house. I did some sanding down to wood, because "the servant" (ME) has walked many many times up and down the stairs and they're worn...lol....
