hmmmm... interesting... and I always thought those were just "dog thoughts". Both of my dogs "moof" all the time. It usually precedes a major barking session.

I was looking for information on what to do with some fiddle leaf figs and rubber trees that had to be cut down from an atrium that had been severely damaged when Hurricane Rita came through Beaumont. My husband and his brother had gone to where BIL's lady worked (at the atrium) to salvage whatever plants they could before the building was demolished. I'd grown both before, but never had them handed to me whacked off in such big proportions. I googled propagating fiddle leaf figs and Dave's Garden links kept on coming up. I checked it out, found the information I needed. Before the night was over, I'd paid my money and joined the site. I could see that this site would give me much information on many of the plants I already had. I'd been "winging" it up until then, hoping and praying that I was doing the right things. More often than not, buying replacement plants in the spring.

I wandered around the site, popping from forum to forum, meeting the neatest folks. To date, I've only met a couple that I didn't just love.

My birthday rolled around this past year and I was informed that there were birthday greetings here in the Northeast Forum. You just can't imagine my surprise when I was told about it. I don't believe I'd ever been in the NE forum until that day. I was really glad that Eleanor told me about it, or I might still not have even ventured this far to the North (on Dave's). I was pleasantly surprised that many of the good folks I'd met in the Photos and Artisans forums were hanging out right here.

Most days, I "hang my hat" in the coleus forum (I'm pretty much obsessed with collecting them) or the artisans forum, but I just never know which direction my mouse will take me. I can't say that I've lurked a lot over here, but every time an interesting title on the NE forum would show up on the latest posts, I'd sneak in and see what was happening.

Today, I added the NE forum to my favorites, cause you folks always seem to have so much fun. Both Victor and Al are 2 of my favorite folks here on DG. In my feeble mind, I kind of consider them like brothers, since I never had any of them in real life. They seem like the kind of guys that I'd want to have as brothers. I figure they'll make sure I don't get into any trouble here. :-)

So here I am. I brought some chocolate chip cookies with me. :-)

Oh, here is a photo of the fiddle leaf figs that brought me to Dave's in the first place. Sadly, none of them survived, but all of the rubber trees did and they are doing quite well!
