Eleanor, I hope your surgery and the recovery go very well. Be sure to let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it!

Believe it or not, our neighbors across the street have had Christmas lights outside and a Christmas tree lighted since Halloween! My DH has a plan to decorate the tall, skinny palm tree in our front yard somehow.......I'll try to capture it if I can. This is our first Christmas here, so it should be interesting, since we usually cut down our tree in New England. Of course, all of my Christmas's as a child and teenager were right here (usually sunbathing in the back yard on Christmas day as a clueless teenager!) and my Mother mortified me one year with a gawdy tin-foil tree and a revolving color spotlight on it. It was HORRID!!! What was worse - my Dad designed and built our house to have one end that was all glass. Of course the multi-colored tin tree was front and center where EVERYONE could see it turning colors. Terrible!

I have already set my table for Thanksgiving dinner because I love the colorful table this time of year. I also set my Christmas table way ahead with Christmas china that was a gift from a close friend - one piece at a time - for years. It reminds me of her and I use the table as a holiday decoration. I just took a photo of my table to show y'all (that's southern for "DG pals"). LOL
