The hammerhead worm in this picture is not B. kewense but most likely Bipalium vagum, described by Jones & Sterrer (2005) in the journal ZOOTAXA 1001(31-58), and mentioned by Ducey et al. (2007) as becoming widespread in the southern US (Southeastern Naturalist 6(449-460). Of unknown origin, it differs from B. kewense in being much shorter and wider, having a black collar, and a broad black stripe along the back. It does not feed on earthworms (as B. kewense does) but on snails & slugs.

Attached is a picture of B. vagum from Bermuda.
