I got a brug plant and when it arrived it was a nice healthy aprx. 14in plant... I ran out of potting soil when I was potting it so I have this genius (lots of sarcasm) idea to mix some topsoil into the potting mix. That created a concrete like mix that did not drain well.. After 2 days I realized what was going on and took the brug out of the swampy concrete, bought proper potting soil and re potted it. It was too late and the vast majority of the stem shriveled up and died. The roots looked pretty sad, but I though I would try and save it. I cut off the mushy roots and the withered stem and watered and fertilized as usual for the past few weeks. The squirrels kept digging up the stem and I thought it had died. This AM I carefully pulled it out and found this... There is new root growth from the root clumps at the top and bottom of the stem. and at the bottom there is a shoot coming out. I was thinking of cutting the stem in half in the middle and potting both stems? Should I just re-plant it and leave it alone? Whats a brug noob to do?
